Re: SHA-1 "broken" Thanks to Sam Ruby for putting it in perspective.
People have been getting hysterical about this. As Sam points out, this may be something to worry about, but we've got some time yet.

I'm a wealthy miser! As an experiment, if nothing more, I created an AdSense account last year. Taking a clue from Russell Beattie I only display the ads to people coming here from search engines (I include Yahoo, Google, MSN, etc). Based on what I've earned so far I'll receive my first check for $100 in 19 years. ROTFL. Your Brain Is Not Your Friend I didn't know that Kathy Sierra was blogging. How'd I miss that?! Late to the party again Russell Beattie posted last night about a collaboration with Anthony Eden, which resulted in TagSurf. This is very much like something I've been thinking about adding to Roller, if only inertia hadn't gotten to me. I do a lot of thinking, if only I'd get off my lazy ass and do something.
Wikipedia is Evil Rogers Cadenhead discusses the ramifications of nofollow. Embedding .Mac looks pretty cool. Mike Clark notes that you can use the DotMac Kit to enjoy all the benefits of the .Mac services, and get a referral bonus to boot. Are there any analogies in the Java space, a "kit" that connects an application with an existing set of networked services? |
