Upgrade Roller to use Struts 1.1 Final I think that all of us Roller developers have been coasting for awhile, but here is some impetus to upgrade Roller's use of Struts.
Update 07/03/03: Done.

Blogging Roller : Lance has moved the Roller codebase forward and has cross over into Struts 1.1 land. Hurrah! That reminds me... I really need to get the latest Roller 0.9.8-dev running on my site so that I can apply the RSS performance enhancements that I made to Roller 0.9.7 for FreeRoller.

"Publicizing" Professional Sports In response to this post, "Sam" hit upon one of my favorite peeves, to which I posted this comment:
I've been considering running for office, my platform: move Sports into the public sector. We'll still find a nice cushy spot for the owners so they musn't cry. We'll make all the players Federal employees (that ought to hold wages down) and drop the average ticket price. Then the opiate of the masses will belong to the masses.
All tongue-in-cheek, of course, but it has an appeal at so many levels (including Machiavellian).

Re: Travel Plans Matthew Langham points out It has become somewhat funky to announce travel plans via your weblog, so this is my "me too":
- This afternoon I'll be traveling to Shoreview MN
- Tomorrow (Saturday) I'll briefly be visiting New Brighton (MN)
- Sunday will see me attending a sporting event in Cirle Pines (yes, in MN)
- On Monday I'll return to St. Paul where I live for approximately 8 hours each day (you do know where St. Paul is, don't you?)
Sorry, couldn't help but poke fun at my mundane life, and those with exciting travel-logs.
