Dave is playing around with his theme some more. I noticed this morning he has changed his color scheme. I liked the "metal" version, but I like this one too. Dave, feel free to check them both in ;-)

And They Shall Know Me By My Web Search Hits Danno and I have both discovered how much fun the referer list can be, spotting the odd Googles that lead to our sites. Granted, Danno get much odder Googles than I.

Roller needs more Themes While I like my "stock" theme (Currency), I think Roller could use a few more to choose from. I'd like to single out a couple Roller users who have developed their own interesting themes: Dave, Danno, Carlos, and Jon Tirsen. I'd like to encourage each of you to submit your theme for other Rollers to use.

Struts html:textarea tag doesn't allow the wrap attribute?! Can somebody tell me why this is? The text wrap appears to default to "virtual", but what if I wanted to specify something else?

Googling AOP & Nanning It's funny, my blog probably has the least useful information on Nanning, and AOP in particular. Yet Google gives me top placement (found via my referrers log)!
Just ironic, I think, because I've never set out to be an expert on AOP (heck, still trying to figure out what it is) or to get top billing at Google. And since I've said A.O.P. and N a n n i n g five and four times (respectively) I expect I'll go up more in the "relevance" column.

Nanning Deployment Descriptors Okay, Nanning has been getting a lot of my thought-train lately. While I haven't had time to actually investigate it yet, AOP is resonating with me. It seems some of my ramblings aren't as completely hair-brained as I may have thought. Jon Tirsen's thoughts were running on parallel tracks as he has come up with a good rational for using Jelly as a deployment descriptor language.
Now I just have to find the time to install Eclipse, AspectJ, and Nanning, so I can start playing around. Since I'm the kind of guy that has to have a "project" to play on, I'll probably start on my "aspected servlets" concept.

More Nanning (AOP) Real short. It's been buzzing in my brain all day that it might be interesting to build a servlet framework (being as general as possible) using AOP techniques. Then use AOP to "slap" different bits of functionality into a servlet. Kinda like Filters, I think, but not. I'm rambling as I haven't enough AOP knowledge to form solid ideas here. I'm tossing things out to see if they make sense to anyone else.
