Go Russell Go
Mr. Beattie is on a roll with his No Dot Not rant. Rather than try and repeat it here, I'll just say GO READ IT! ( Oct 27 2002, 08:03:05 AM ) Technology Permalink

RSS Best Practices
Matt isn't the only one talking about relative vs absolute URLs in RSS feeds. Sam Ruby and friends have gotten into the issue, and it looks like they'll support whatever the community decides! ( Oct 26 2002, 09:12:49 PM ) Technology Permalink

Senator Wellstone Dead
I generally avoid politics, and I'm hardly a bleeding heart Liberal, but I am sad to hear that Wellstone has died. I do agree with many of the positions he took, and was proud of the fight he put up even when the crowd was obviously against him. Call it a David vs Goliath complex, and I always saw Paul as David. He was finally getting the seniority he needed to get things done in Committee, and I was looking forward to some honest change.

All that is gone now. Who knows who (if anyone) the Dem's will be able to put up against Coleman. Whoever it is, they'll likely lose.

Pity.

Now with Superlatives!
Vanity Foul is now running Roller 0.9.6+ (the plus is a fix for a personal bug). Look for more improvements to come. ( Oct 24 2002, 08:12:29 PM ) Roller Permalink

Old World Order
It's not fair, my best friend gets invited to join an exclusive, historical, organization and I get nothing. If anyone deserves to join such an "enlightened society" [quote from their site] its me!
Eh, never mind.

Wild Animal Kingdom, Redux: well, we called around last night and could not find anyone available to come take care of the possum (except one guy who was 50 miles away and would have charged a bundle), so we released the critter. I'm just hoping it's learned its lesson and won't try crawling into our dryer vent again. ( Oct 24 2002, 08:12:29 PM ) News Permalink

Too much technology!
A thought while riding the bus into work this mornging: If I were to combine StrutsCX with a Struts-to-Swing approach, and then finished it off with JellySwing what would I have? Probably a headache, but it might be fun to try. Yeah right, when am I going to find time for this fun project? ( Oct 24 2002, 08:12:29 PM ) Technology Permalink

Wild Animal Kingdom
I came downstairs to check my email, and move laundry into the dryer, when I heard something in the exhaust tube (one of those flexible ones). Disconnected the tube and out came a young possum! We are now waiting on Animal Control to find out what we should do with it. ( Oct 23 2002, 11:41:15 PM ) News Permalink
