Gel Toothpaste, yumm I sent an e-mail to the author of the aqua-text tutorial last night asking how to scale down my text and reduce the fuzziness. Or as Lance called it, "the gel toothpaste look." ... <snip> ... Here is the old one, and the new one.[Raible]
It still looks like gel toothpaste to me. Not that this is a bad thing, just the first thing I think of when I see the graphic.

This could get fun Grendel & Pippa (not their real names) sound like they're setting up for a real row.
Perhaps this is exactly why I didn't offer to set my wife up with a blog.

Castor help offered to Jason Carreira. I once built a gui for generating mapping files, perhaps it'll be of use to you. Notice the disclaimer on this page though. I've also built up some more Castor experience working on Roller, so I'm ready to offer assistance should you want it.

Oh Jason, what have you done! Ya know, I almost offered to set my wife up with a blog. She didn't seem all that interested though, and I internally questioned the advisability of doing such a thing. Well, Jason's wife has a blog now, and so now I know that I envy Jason his "nooners".

A JDBC Cache, what's that? Well, it apparently caches the ResultSets of queries. Hmmm, interesting, might be some fun to play with. Combine this other sorts of caching and you might get an interesting overlap of concerns such that the real work is performed only infrequently. Of course, this might also get messy....

Now here's a neat idea Replicating news feeds...
Does anyone know of a means by which I can get my radio rss feeds emailed to me, or externally replicated? Radio is installed at home, and I can post to it via email (like now) but I'm starting to rely on my news aggregation more and more, and it takes a good hour every evening to go through it. I've gotten so used to using server-side apps. that the restrictions of a thick client are something of a shock to the system. Roll on the day I can afford a personal CoLo server (or my own leased line)! [Pushing the envelope]
I'd like something like this too. I'd like to replicate my news feed to my Zaurus in a HTML format that looks nice on a small screen, so I can surf my blog news on the way into the office. What'd be really cool if I could delete stuff I've read on my Zaurus and to sync it with my laptop, so I don't have to double-delete stuff when I've read it.[James Strachan]
I don't know enough about RSS or the state of readers/aggregators out there now, but is this something that we could plan for the Roller RSS aggregator (we do plan on such a beast, don't we?) ?

Fascinating Stuff Ara, James Strachan, Jon (tirsen.com) and Rickard have been discussing some really neat stuff. Today on the Jakarta-Commons list another interesting thread began (look for "[lang] Proposal for *NEXT* version").
Maybe its just the sinus headache speaking, but I see some synergy here!

Weblogic NT Realm - Help! I've been trying for a week to get Weblogic 6.1 to authenticate against its NTRealm. I've finally got it to present the login form, but I *won't* login. Anyone with practical experience, I plead for your assistance! llavandowska at ecmc dot org
