Why Am I Getting All This Spam?

While we are on the subject of things to add, I personally don't care for the way the "threads" are when I click on comments. Maybe I just haven't played with this thing enough, but seeing a little gray box at the top of where I am typing this response in to view a comment seems a bit uhm, how shall I say it, barebones maybe? I think things like email forums and such could be looked at to "beautify" the way the comments and threads of a comment are displayed. Maybe even a newsgroup style where by a user could decide if it should be threaded or latest thread displayed. For small threads, it probably wouldn't make it much better, but for threads that continue on with many messages it could help organize it a bit.

As I understand it, blogs & comments are "intended" to be different than forums and newsgroups. If something becomes that discussion worthy it should move off to posts on the individuals sites: You would post something on your blog linking to me, I would post linking to your post ....

Then if we had implemented TrackBack (gee, Roller does have that) then the trail would show up as a conversation on each person's site.

At least, i think that is the preferred mechanism.
