Wish I could help you, but I haven't done much with Tomcat. I know it has a bunch of jar sealing issues, that is the extent of my knowledge. Add on top of that you're using Linux (which I have no practical experience with - hoping to rectify) and you won't get much help from me.

It was still probably not necessary. I read your blog all the time. Had it said "humm. trouble with velocity for roller" and sufficient time went by, I would still have excited the King of Velocity and you probably still would have gotten it. OF course not as fast because he likes flaming people especially when he gets to do it in a way that isn't flaming ;-)
