So you are suggesting point B applies to Java code so long as it imports from a jar file? I would agree with this interpretation, I just wish the FSF would come out with a definitive answer. It seems as if they have gone out of their way to be ambiguous.

Yes. I think a .jar file fits EXACTLY into what they describe for 6.b
